As part of the Royal Saxon triangulation, the triangulation pillar was erected as a station 112.In the years 1862 to 1890 was measured with the aid of these pillars, the Kingdom of Saxony.
Im Zuge der königlich sächsischen Triangulation wurde der Punkt auf dem Wachberg als Station 112 errichtet. In den Jahren zwischen 1862 und 1890 wurde mit Hilfe dieser Säulen das Königreich Sachsen vermessen. Heute befindet sich eine weitere Vermessungsmarke am Turm 3 Meter neben dem Stein.
