The former Guest River Railroad section has been converted into an excellent hiking/biking path along the rushing Guest River.
In-and-out trail of 5.8 miles length. Passes through a 1922 tunnel and across a couple of wood trestles as it descends at a gentle grade along the rushing Guest River.
Reached from Highway VA-72 about 3 miles south of Coeburn. Turn at the “Guest River Trail/Jefferson National Forest” sign, and drive 1.4 miles to parking lot at the trailhead.
