The Earth Island Institute is working to support increasing nature and art in Berkeley, California. The Streets Alive project is an effort to bring vibrant public art to utility boxes in Berkeley.

Redwood is an artwork on a utility box at Shattuck Avenue & Allston Way in Berkeley. The two large side of the box have view looking up the trunk of a large redwood tree with another two trees on either side of it. The smaller sides of the box have a design that looks like a close-up of the tree bark shown on the large sides.
