The Faulkner University Dinner Theatre moved to a bigger and better location across the Atlanta Highway from campus in the fall of 2011. The new location is in the Eastmont Shopping Center. The grand opening performance took place Oct. 7 and featured the River Region's first performance of The Phantom of the Opera.
The new theater has a larger stage, a full orchestra pit, state-of-the art lighting and sound system and a full working scene shop. Also the new theater will allow patrons general admission for stadium seating to the show only. Doors typically open at 6 p.m. with dinner being served from 6:15-7 p.m. The show begins at 7:30 p.m. Reservations must be paid in advance. The theatre auditorium will seat 102 dining patrons and 68 non-dining patrons in tiered seating.
Auditions are not limited to active Faulkner students and faculty.
