Das Konzerthaus wurde in den Jahren 1913/14 durch den Architekten Professor Paul Schmohl gebaut und kurz vor Beginn des Ersten Weltkrieges, am 24. Mai 1914 eingeweiht. Die Baukosten beliefen sich auf rd. 380.000 Mark, wovon ca. 60 Prozent von den örtlichen Industriebetrieben und Vereinen getragen wurden. Das über 550 Sitzplätze verfügende Haus wird für diverse Gesellschaften und Festakte sowie Theatervorstellungen.
Dieser Bau wurde ein für Heidenheim charakteristisches Gebäude, das mit seiner dynamischen wie heute noch ästhetisch ansprechenden Architektur den markanten südlichen Abschluss der Heidenheimer Innenstadt bildet.
The Concert Hall was built in the years 1913/14 by the architect Professor Paul Schmohl and it was inaugurated on the 24. May 1911, shortly before the beginning of the First World War. The construction costs came to 380.000 Mark. 60% of these costs were paid by the local industrial firms and local associations. The Concert Hall is a characteristical building for Heidenheim, it has a dynamic and till today aesthetically appealing architecture. The building has 550 seats available and it is used for diverse ceremonial acts, theatrical performances and concerts.
