Not speaking or reading French...I wasn't really sure of the content until I got back and did a translation. Truly tragic. I just can't comprehend how children could be targeted. Of course, the entire holocaust makes no sense...but, children? I find it hard to even think about the inhumanity of it all.
The Memorial reads:
"A LA MEMOIRE DES ELEVES DE CETTE ECOLE DEPORTES DE 1942 A 1944 PARCE QUE NES JUIFS, VICTIMES INNOCENTES DE LA BARBARIE NAZIE DU GOUVERNEMENT DE VICHY.
