This sculpture is entitled "Genie du Sommeil Eternel" or "Angel of Eternal Sleep". The 1889 bronze piece is by Horace Daillion (1854-1937). It depicts a male angel with large wings standing next to a tree about to toss a bouquet of flowers...apparently into a grave since this IS a cemetery. The pedestal is about 12 feet high and the "SOUVENIR" meaning "Remember" is carved on it.
