He wears a laurel and holds a thin cornucopia full of fruit with his right arm. A cherub is on his left side looking in the opposite direction. The cherub is blowing into a conch shell. The title indicates that this figure represents the Loire...France's longest river. There are similar works nearby representing other important rivers in France.
The artists are Balthasar Keller (1638-1702) and Thomas Regnaudin (1622-1706).
