The tower in the Gothic styleis considered as one of the finest examples of medieval military architecture in Portugal. Rising to forty feet high (the highest in the country), consists of three floors. The tower has balconies angular, defended by battlements pyramidal. It is torn by twin windows and arched doors. The rooms inside, richly decorated, feature vaulted ceilings in cross vaults.
The tower is very impressive and in it´s interior, on the third floor, one can apreciate this spectacular inner dome.
