The water tower of Schönenbuch was built in 1989. It is located southeast of the village center close to the French border.
The tower has a height of 31.40 meters and and a width of 20.50 meters on top and 4.40 meters at the bottom. It contains two tanks of 300 m3 each.
The tower is not generally open to the public but visits can be arranged with the responsible persons listed on the municipality web site (http://www.schoenenbuch.ch/home/schoenenbuch-im-ueberblick/wasserturm/). A visit costs 2 CHF for each person. There are 160 steps to the upper platform
