Marked on the 1884 Ordnance Survey map as follows:-

It stands at the side of the road in a lay-by next to a bin.

Not only would this probably have been on the route ridden by Dick Turpin on his famous (but probably fictional) ride from York to London, Roxton has a dark secret. It was one of the first places in the UK to grow Brussels Sprouts commercially.
