The Minnesota State Veteran's Cemetery was opened in 1994 through the efforts of many individuals and veteran's organizations. The cemetery is now managed by the State of Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs. The cemetery is well kept. The cemetery offers areas for burial of coffins, cremated remains and above ground niches for cremated remains. The cemetery currently is the final resting place for about 4,000 with about 400 internments a year.
As a personal note it is the final resting place for both my father and mother.
