Originally buried at the African Cemetery No. 2 in Lexington, he was later reinterred at the original Man o' War burial site at Faraway Farm. Then when Man o' War was reburied at the Kentucky Horse Park, Issac Burns Murphys' remains were again moved to be buried near Man o' War and War Admiral at the entrance to the park.

A gray granite stone marks the site, and with most visitors focusing on the massive Man o' War Memorial, this lone grave may be overlooked. Issac Burns Murphy's grave may be out of place in the normal sense, but in another he is where he belongs, the arguably greatest horse and rider buried next to each other in a Horse Park.

More information on the life of this little known, but very fascinating man can be found here, here, and here.
