Devil's Face Emerges - Provo, Utah - Simulacra on Waymarking.com

On a very old large cottonwood tree overlooking a small pond is a large growth on the tree trunk protruding to the northwest that looks like a head with the face of the devil. There are unique features on the face like pointed ears, horns and a mouth full of jagged teeth. With a little imagination one can also see outstretched arms clawing the earth as if trying to escape the grasp of the tree holding it in. The tree is located in a very nice public park that has picnic facilities, playgrounds, a wetland area with a earthcache and a geocache. The park is open to the public from dawn to dusk.
