The Fishlake National Forest has offices in Richfield, Loa, Fillmore and Beaver. The office located in Loa, is known as the Fremont River Ranger Station. It is located at 138 South Main Street.
The Fremont River Ranger District is in the south east portion of the Forest. The Fremont River Ranger District also manages what was once the Teasdale Ranger District of the Dixie National Forest.
Fish Lake is the big draw on the Fremont River Ranger District, offering anglers a chance to catch MacKinaw, splake, rainbow and yellow perch. With three resorts, cabin rentals, and campgrounds, visitors can plan to stay awhile.
Other recreation opportunities include picnicking, hiking, ATV riding, horseback riding, and sightseeing.
The Fremont River Ranger District also administers the Boulder Mountain area and is the gateway to Capital Reef National Park.
