The Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church was built in 1901 to serve the growing population of German immigrants in Milwaukee. The brick church was designed by Frederick Velguth in a High Victorian Gothic style. The church is in good condition and serves its active congregation. The church has three services each Sunday, two in English and one in Spanish.

The church was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1987.
