A lot can change in 89 years, thankfully this intersection is now paved.

The black and white photo was taken in 1922 from the northeast corner of Bay Street and Adelaide Street West. The photo shows the Hotel Widmer on the southwest corner. The building which is now on that corner is the Canada Permanent Building which is currently occupied by CIBC Mellon.

There are still a number of streetcars in service in Toronto but they no longer travel along either of these streets.
