Cast by Marcus Cornish this statue portrays the famous Paddington Bear just arrived from Darkest Peru and about to be found by the Brown's and taken home as retold in the first book of Paddington's adventures "A Bear Called Paddington", first published on 13 October 1958.

In the photo I exchange 'a hard stare' with Paddington. When he disapproves of someone he may show this by giving them a 'Hard Stare' ("Bears are good at staring")!
