Der Garten des Friedens wurde von Nicky Sitaram Sabnis auf einer Anhöhe nördlich des Chiemsees angelegt dort befindet sich auch eine cairn. Er schreibt über seinen Garten des Friedens:
"Friede kommt, wenn wir - Du und ich - Frieden in eigenen Herzen tragen. Das ist eine schwere und lebenslange Aufgabe.
Sie ist unpopulär, unspektakulär, bringt kein Geld oder Ansehen und ist darüber hinaus noch anstrengend.
Weil wir das alle wissen, delegieren wir diese Aufgabe an unsere Parteien, Regierungen, Staatsmänner oder Kirchen.
Die sollen es richten.
Aber wie könnte denen gelingen, was uns auch nicht gelingt? Haben sie sich denn ein friedvolles Herz erkämpft?
Es sieht nicht so aus, sonst wäre unsere Erde in einem besseren Zustand.
Laßt uns darum aufhören mit der Hoffnung, dass andere es für uns tun. Wenn wir eine friedlichere Welt und ein friedlicheres Leben im Kleinen und Großen haben wollen, müssen wir selbst darum ringen.
Der Garten des Friedens soll dazu einen kleinen Beitrag leisten."

The Garden of Peace was created by Nicky Sitaram Sabnis on a hill in the north of the lake Chiemsee. In the garden is also a cairn.
"Peace is when we - you and me - bring peace in our own hearts This is a serious and lifelong task..
