Found right beside the Roxborough Park in East Hamilton. The plaque details the history of the airport including the FIRST aviation meet in Canada and the FIRST inter-city aircraft race in North America. Jack Elliot opened Hamilton's FIRST commercial airport, the FIRST flying school in Canada, and Hamilton's FIRST airline. Here, Eileen Vollick became Canada's FIRST woman to earn a pilots license. It was also the FIRST municipal airport in Eastern Canada to have paved runways and FIRST to teach night flying in Canada.

The 19th Bomber Squadron formed here as well.
