This colorful variation on the eight pointed star is mounted on the side of a legal office in downtown Rock Rapids. The kaleidoscope of colors on the quilt block adds a festive pattern against a black and white background, its unique pattern a real eye-catcher. It can be easily viewed from the parking lot on the north side of the building.

I found this colorful quilt block when I was checking out the murals in this small city. I was unaware there were any barn quilts in this area and was surprised to come across three different ones.
