As part of the ongoing park project the Shade Tree Commission raised money through public funds by selling bricks for the benches. As you can see many people participated, enough that is so that 4 benches could be added around the tree.
When you are sitting on the benches you can see many other items in the park such as: war memorials, a fountain, dedicated trees and the parks center piece a large gazebo.
There are several other waymarks in the park and a lot more in walking distance.
