Southern Nazarene University is a private, Christian school with a 40-acre campus west of Oklahoma City. Established in this area in 1909, it has a full range of Bachelor and Master's programs, as well as accelerated adult programs and online classes. It has an enrollment of just over 2000.

At the northeast corner of campus are three outdoor tennis courts with concrete playing fields, painted green. They are surrounded by high chain link fencing and are available to students. They are also the home practice courts for the school's women's tennis team, the Crimson Storm. In the 2011 season, the team received several awards. Two players were named NAIA All-American, and three were honored as NAIA Daktronics Scholar-Athletes.
