DESCRIBED BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1978 IN AGAWAM. SET AT THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF THE BRIDGE OVER THE WESTFIELD RIVER AT THE JUNCTION OF STATE HIGHWAYS 75 AND 147 IN AGAWAM, .05 MILE SOUTHEAST ALONG ELM STREET FROM THE POST OFFICE IN WEST SPRINGFIELD TO THE JUNCTION OF ELM STREET TO PARK STREET, THENCE 0.4 MILE SOUTHWEST ALONG PARK STREET TO THE JUNCTION OF PARK STREET AND RIVER STREET, THENCE 0.95 MILE SOUTH ALONG RIVER STREET TO THE JUNCTION OF STATE HIGHWAYS 75 AND 147 AND THE MARK ON THE RIGHT 47.5 FEET SOUTHWEST OF THE CENTER LINE OF THE BRIDGE, 53 FEET NORTHWEST OF THE CENTER LINE OF HIGHWAY 147, 1.5 FEET NORTHWEST OF A METAL GUARD RAIL.
