Christ Episcopal Church
in Spotsylvania Courthouse, Virginia.
Marcella Sirbaugh Kee lived in Fredericksburg and was a parishioner at the church. She was a founder of the church quilters group and an active member in the Sunlight Garden Club who planted the tree. Marcella died in 2003.¹ She is buried in the Christ Church cemetery within sight of the tree.
The plaque at the base of the tree reads:
