Nothing says Duluth like the Aerial Lift Bridge. The bridge spans the canal of Lake Superior from Canal Park to Minnesota Point. The bridge lifts to allow tall ships, Great Lakes freighters and other watercraft to enter the port or to reach Lake Superior. It is aluminum colored, rises 227 feet high. Thousands come to Canal Park each year and seeing the bridge is often the highlight. Canal Park offers many great sites, ships arriving and departing, Lake Superior Maritime Marine Museum, shops, restaurants, hotels and more.
