The Bismarckturm of Kallstadt, designed by architekt Friedrich Kunst of Karlsruhe, was build in 1901-1903 and opened at July 5th 1903. The construction costs were 30.000 ‘Reichsmark’.
The tower is built at the ‘Peterskopf’ (496 m high) in the ‘Pfälzerwald’. It’s the highest Bismarck tower in the ‘Reinland-Pfalz’.
It is built in the Neo-Romanesque style of the 19th century and a combination of monument (Denkmal) and watchtower. De tower was restored in 1992-1998.
