The Assumption Of The Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church was built by Greek immigrants  of Carbon County.  They came to Carbon County in  pursue of coal mining jobs at the end of the 19th and early 20th centuries.   The church was dedicated August 15, 1916 by Reverend Mark E. Petrakis.  The church was built in a traditional Byzantine style.  The church remains active with Sunday services at 10:00 am.
