I found no information on J Millard Monroe.

This is a typical column zinc marker made by the Western White Bronze Company of Des Moines, Iowa. There are decorated crosses on either side of the upper part of the column. The base panels feature an anchor, a wreath, and the compass and square of the Masons. The text panel has a handshake with the text:

Sacred to the Memory of J. Millard Monroe
Beloved Husband of Mollie V. Monroe
Died Feb. 2, 1889.
Aged 29 Yrs. 7 Mos.

Equal to Angels! Oh Never to Die!
Death has been Conquered Forever on High.

There is a small Auxiliary stone marked "Millard"
