Christian crosses mark many summits in France. Punta de Vacca Morte (Dead Cow Point) is the summit of a rugged mountain in Corsica South. Like Bryce's Canyon in the US south west, this is a bad place to lose a cow. The trail is part of the Mare de Mare Sud trail across the island. The final ascent to the cross is up over granite boulders. The view from the top is spectacular.
