Hawthorne Park is a large area, but has few amenities. It is an older park with an unused fountain, a single picnic table, and some swings. However, it does have sporting areas, with two baseball fields, a soccer field and three tennis courts.
On the south side of the park is a concrete basketball court. There is no painting of stripes on the court, and the hoops have no nets or chain. The concrete is in good condition, however, the hoops are straight and in good condition.
