Parrot in the Clouds - San Diego, CA - Artistically Decorated Utility Boxes on Waymarking.com

This squawking parrot reminded me of the squawking-parrot scene in "Citizen Kane" that makes everybody jump out of their seats the first time they see it (or even the second or third). (That's not a spoiler because you don't know when it's going to happen!) But the parrot seems to be partially hidden among stylized clouds similar to those often found in old Chinese paintings.

The painting of utility boxes in this neighborhood is sponsored by the Mira Mesa Town Council (a volunteer/business organization) and has been spearheaded by the Mira Mesa High School art department. See (visit link) for more information.
