The Glenlivet is one of Scotland's leading producers of single malt Scotch whisky. The guided tour takes you through the distillery where the whisky mash, made with spring water, is fermented and distilled using copper stills. You then visit the large bonded warehouse where the distilled whisky is aged in oak barrels for 12 to 25 years or more.
During 2011, the visitor center is open from April 4th until October 29th. Tours at 9.30am until 4pm (Mon-Sat) and noon till 4pm on Sundays. No one under 18 years old is admitted.
