Eastern Park features a large shelter with picnic tables and a grill and a smaller metal shelter. A permit is required from the city in order to use this park, with a cost of $75 for residents and $150 for non-residents. Included in the permit is the use of electric, horseshoe pits, and volleyball net. Also in the park is a half-court basketball court and a playground for the kids. Restroom facilities are also available.
Since the park is along Ellicott Creek, fishing is common among locals. Nearby is a path that leads to a rails-to-trails.
