Two large statues of lions facing Congress Memorial Column. The column is inspired Trajan column. It celebrates the victory of the struggle for Belgian independence. The column is 25 meters high, atop the Statue of Leopold I
Before the memorial in the Area between the statues of lions is a memorial to the victims of the fallen soldiers.
