This plaza is the location of one of the Centennial Clocks found all over Oklahoma, celebrating the 100th anniversary of Oklahoma statehood. There are also benches in this bricked plaza.

Nearby is the Municipal Auditorium, a WPA project from the 1930s. This auditorium was the center of Shawnee entertainment and culture for decades. It is still used for sporting events and various community events. The building is also the home of the Shawnee Senior Citizens.

Woodland Veterans Park, located just north of the downtown area is a very old park. It contains a city swimming pool, tennis and volleyball courts, a playground, bleachers for outdoor events and picnic tables. At the southwest corner of the park is a large war memorial, with flags and dedicated benches. This is a lovely park which has served the community for decades.
