Lake Norden is a small town in Hamlin County, South Dakota, located on SD Highway 28, just 4 miles west of US Highway 81.
The area was settled by German, Norwegian, Swedish, Irish, and Danish immigrants and was incorporated on April 18, 1916.
Its population was 424 in July 2009, showing a 2% decrease in population from the 2000 census.
The United Cemetery is a small cemetery south east of the town of Lake Norden on US Highway 20. It is a non-denomination cemetery and has less than 100 graves in it.
