This monument was placed by the State of Ohio in honor of the 31st Ohio Infantry for their service in the Battle of Chickamauga at Chickamauga Georgia.
At the top of the monument is a large Acorn in relief. Near the bottom there is a pair of crossed rifles on top of some plants. There is also a bronze plaque with the seal of the state of Ohio in relief.
