On August 1, 1953 the school and its contents were sold at a public action. The schoolhouse was sold to the Disabled American Veterans For $275. When the Waupaca Highway Department relocated the east end of cobbtown Rd in 1968 it was necessary to purchase the D.A.V. Clubhouse. At first the school was to be torn down. Then it was moved to the Philip Morey farm. The one-room schoolhouse, a large white building, is still standing at this location.
