The County Arcade is one of a number of Victorian shopping arcades in Leeds City Centre. This floor mosaic is directly underneath a glass dome.

Designed by Frank Matcham, better known as a theatre designer, the County Arcade is two storeys high, but only has shops on the ground floor. It is entered via the Victoria Arcade on Briggate.
It opened in 1903 and is richly decorated with mahogany shop fronts and pink marble columns.
There are a number of these fine shopping arcades in Leeds, and it has remained a popular city for shopping. It has many individualistic shops, and has a number where Leeds was picked as the site of their first branch outside London. This includes the famous Harvey Nichols.
The mosaic shows a selection fruit, good enough to get your mouth watering. Presumably it was inspired by the market that used to be on this site.
