This tall squirrel is MUCH larger than the local squirrels that cross over the special man-made "squirrel bridge" that is located nearby.

The plaque on this squirrel carving reads:

"Dedicated to the memory of
Amos J. Peters
1916-1984
A creative builder and developer who donated to the City the World's only bridge for squirrels, in 1963. His love for family and community continues to be an inspiration to all who knew him.
