You’re not quite where the map thinks you are. You’re actually about 100 yards North West at the junction of Hall Ings and Bridge Street.

There is currently some redevelopment work being carried out in this part of the city.
I suspect that the sign has been moved without changing the map. It’s also of a different design compared to other nearby, rather plain signs.
However you’re so close to the City Hall, I’m sure you’d easily work out where you are.
Dead ahead is the City Hall and to your left is the Hilton Hotel. The Interchange bus and rail station is less than 5 minutes walk away on Bridge Street.
Also if you go to the far side of the City Hall you’ll find the tourist information office where you can get help with directions and a map of your own.
The map also shows a fountain nearby, don’t bother looking for it, it has been taken away in the redevelopment work. However when the work finishes in the summer of 2011 there will be a new mirror pool with 100 fountains, which should be enough for anybody!
