The Greenbrier Division (Branch) of the C&O Railway (now CSX Transportation) operated from 1903 until 1985, when the tracks were removed and the right-of-way was deeded to the State of West Virginia for use as a rails-to-trails park, the Greenbrier River Trail. The station at North Caldwell is a fine example of a C&O "Standard Structure" with the typical C&O gingerbread trim well in evidence. The structure is presently owned by Union Concrete Co. and is used as a storage building. The colors are not 100% accurate as originally painted by the C&O.

The structure has been only slightly repositioned from the original location and turned 90*.
