For Sailors Well fundraising mine locates by the Vellamo Maritime Museum and is known landmark in Kotka.

Finnish Navy gave this mine to Lions club Kotka - Ruotsinsalmi who then donated this mine - for Sailors well - in 1967 to the city of Kotka. Income from the mine is nowadays donated to the Kotka Marine Rescue Society. (

This mine used to be in Sapokka park in Kotka, but it was moved here because of thiefs. Unfortunately mine is still vandalized even with video cameras guarding it. It has been discussed if the mine could be moved indoors of the Vellamo Maritime Museum.
