This is one of a series of similar map spread throughout the city. This one is slightly different because it has been incorporated into a shaded seating area. The canopy wouldn’t be much use in heavy rain, but otherwise does provide some shelter.
Britannia House is an ancillary office building of the city hall. Inside it has a area to allow the public to make payments for council bills.
Nearby are the main City Hall, the Wool Exchange and Ivegate.
