On the East side of the two-story brick building at 102 W. Main in downtown Shawnee is a lovely mural in warm tones of gold. It shows ornate archways, plants and a courtyard and you will feel like you have stepped into an Italian villa.
The mural was painted on plastered portions of the brick wall in 2006, by artists L.J. Dixon and N.K. Crosby.
At the time of posting, this building is for sale and is described as being suitable for wedding receptions, with its own chapel. A retail tenant, Suitable for Framing, is currently occupying the building. There is also a two-bedroom apartment on the premises.
