On the first Tuesday of every month from 5:30pm until all the food's gone, this Moose Center holds a Fish Fry/Clam Roll dinner that includes cole slaw and French fries for $7. Proceeds help support the Moose Legion.
Something else about Bennington... this town really loves the moose. They're all over town, and one of them is located at the Moose Family Center! Apparently, the town of Bennington has now hosted two Moosefests -- one in 2005 and another in 2009. These were fundraisers with the proceeds going to a local charity. So, all over town there are moose statues painted by different artists and sponsored by local businesses. (
