Lednice lezi na Jizni Morave, zapadnim smerem od mesta Breclav. Mesto Lednice se rozklada v chranene krajinne oblasti Palava v Mikulovske vrchovine. Severnim smerem od mesta proteka reka Dyje a tak zvana Stara Dyje. U severniho okraje mesta je vybudovan rozlehly zamecky rybnik s radou ostruvku a na jeho severnim brehu je postaven Minaret. Jiznim smerem nedaleko mesta jsou tak zvane Lednicke rybniky.

Lednice on the south Moravia, west of the town of Breclav. City of Lednice is situated in the protected landscape area in Mikulov Palava Highlands. North of the city flows the river Thaya and so called Star Thaya. At the northern edge of the city is built the beautiful castle pond with small islands on board and on its northern shore is built minaret. South, near the city are so-called Lednice ponds.
