The Becket Town Pound is located on Route 8 about 1/4-mile north of the Becket Town Hall. It was constructed in 1768 and is a square construction of rock walls. The gate is no longer present. The town pound demarcates the southern boundary of the Becket Center National Historic District. A sign denoting the historic locations in Becket identifies this as the historic town pound.
