The sign shows:

Toddington Castle a timber motte-and-bailey castle built before the 13th century in Toddington.
[ Today only earthworks remain of the castle. Chalgrave Castle was built to the south of the village during the 11th century, however no visible remains of the structure exist today.]


The Church was consecrated on St Georges Day in 1222, the same year which St George became the Patron Saint of England. It is only one of four churches in the country with this dedication.

The row of animals across the middle are from the chimera along the church.
